Dodgers Game 118 Notes

Welcome back to myself, it's been a while since I've I busted out some game notes. Right now it's 4:37pm Pacific Time and there's a hole in the corner of my kitchen ceiling/wall because maintenance is fixing a busted water pipe in the wall that works from my upstairs neighbor's, down to the iphone repair store below me, which is experiencing pooling water from the busted pipe. Thus, I have the trifecta of drill, hammer, and screwdriver ringing through my apartment. I reallllyy hope by gametime (or much sooner than) this action has ceased.

Update 6:31pm: Despite the Dexter like kill room that maintenance managed to turn my kitchen into, much to my pleasure the operation has halted its audibly invasive action for the day of Tuesday, August 15th. Now to the game.

The Dodgers have been playing out of their minds since the trade deadline, with the added plus being that the three notable additions of Amed Rosario, Kíke Hernandez, and Lance Lynn have all performed above and beyond what I and I think the collective Dodgers fanbase hypothesized they would. With that being said, JD Martinez is BACK tonight in the starting lineup, hitting 5th after some cryptic hamstring maintenance work since the last week of July-ish. This is considerably good news, all things considered; Martinez was reported to have had trouble even walking around the August turnover series when the Dodgers played the Oakland A's.

Since the trade deadline, the Dodgers are 12-1 and the best in that post-deadline context:
