Dodgers Game 75 Notes 6/23/23
The Dodgers host the dastardly Astros at home. Emmett Sheehan makes his second big league start after about as good of an MLB debut as a starting pitcher can have. Runs have been at a premium for both the Dodgers and their opponents lately (only the last 2 games against the Angels, we've forgotten about the Giants series). We'll see what the Astros can do to Sheehan with one game of real tape to go off of, that is if Sheehan executes every single pitch of the night like he did a week ago. Neither Framber Valdez or Christian Javier are scheduled to start in the weekend series, so the Dodgers have a real chance to sweep at home if the bullpen can show even the littliest of nuts.

- Busch strikes out at a shitty pitch in the dirt. Another two runners left on base which is precisely what we cannot trust our bullpen to protect at this point
3-2 thru 7 innings, not much going on, just really a wait and see kinda game to see if this Dodgers pen can hold it down...
also "The Idol" on HBO has gotta be the worst show ever made. i mean it's impressively bad

Certainly a grind-it-out win for the Dodgers. Great to see the bullpen show some nuts. Very promising after two great pitched games in Anaheim. I thought we'd see more runs in this game, but man, Em (predicting he will be known as "Em" eventually rather than Emmett) Sheehan looked sharp again. The ball jumps out of his hand more than I've seen from a righty in some time that I can recall.
